Strawberry's choice of the week! *********************************************
In our continuous effort of sharing with you various kinds of handpicked Art exhibitions, our weekly choice is... poetry!Actually an enhanced setting for a poem reading: "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe, read by Kronos Kirkorian in a SL setting by Tyrol Rimbaud.
This is truly the kind of project that attracts me here in SL: enhancing elder forms of media with 3D and interactivity, rediscovering culture through such enhancements, and... freely.This furnished platform in the sky is set to match the poem perfectly, though various ambient sounds, rich and detailed texturing, and the awesome voice of Kronos Kirkorian. I could almost smell the wooden fragrance of the furniture! Read the provided on site notecard for suggested settings and a copy of the poem.Do note the reading is done in a few minutes, so don't be afraid to wait for a bit if you catch the audio stream halfway... You'll be too busy exploring the setting anyways :D
Dans la continuité de notre volonté de vous faire partager différentes sortes d'expos d'Art choisies, notre choix hebdomadaire est... la poésie! Il s'agit en fait d'une mise en scène augmentée pour la lecture du poème "Le Corbeau" de Edgar Allan Poe, lu par Kronos Kirkorian dans une mise en scène de Tyrol Rimbaud.
C'est vraiment le genre de projet qui m'attire dans SL: augmenter des formes anciennes de media par la 3D et l'interactivité, redécouvrir la culture par le biais de telles augmentations, et celà... librement.Cette plateforme aménagée dans les airs est installée de manière à se marier parfaitement avec le poème, par des sons d'ambiance variés, des textures riches et détaillées, et la voix géniale de Kronos Kirkorian. Je pouvais presque sentir l'odeur de bois des meubles! Lisez la notecard fournie sur place pour des suggestions de réglages et une retranscription du poème.Notez que la lecture est faite en quelques minutes, donc n'ayez pas peur d'attendre un petit peu si vous attrapez le train du stream audio à mi-chemin... Vous serez trop occupés à explorer le décor de toute façon :D
-Pour ceux que l'anglais rebute, venez au moins voir la mise en scène, elle vaut le détour à elle seule... Et pour une traduction du poème, sachez que Baudelaire en a faite une, que l'on peut consulter ici

As expected, I spent a rather enjoyable moment while visiting this exhibition. Simone Alva's pictures match very well with Cienega Soon's, exposed on the top floor.
Comme je m'y attendais, j'ai passé un bon moment en visitant cette expo. Les photos de Simone Alva vont vraiment bien avec celles de Cienega Soon, exposées sur l'étage du haut.
