Strawberry's choice of the week! *********************************************

And this week for something totally different, let's talk about another cool part of the Rezzable project:
The garden of NPIRL delights (Non Possible In Real Life) !
I don't even know where to start with this place. FOUR full sims with original, interactive and mind blowing SL sculptures defying at least 2 or 3 laws of physics each! A lot of priceless pieces are exposed there, make sure to block a few hours to visit that place!
A tour HUD is offered to you at the entrance to shave off a couple minutes from the visit :)
But hurry... this exhibition will run only to June 27.

Et cette semaine quelque chose de complètement différent; parlons d'une autre facette géniale du projet Rezzable:
The garden of NPIRL delights (Not Possible In Real Life) ! Traduisible grosso modo par "le jardin des plaisirs des oeuvres impossibles en réalité".
Je ne sais même pas par où commencer avec cet endroit. QUATRE sims entiers de sculptures SL originales, interactives , époustouflantes et qui défient au moins 2 ou 3 lois de la physique chacune! Beaucoup de pièces inestimables y sont exposées, assurez-vous de bloquer quelques heures pour visiter cet endroit!
Un HUD de visite guidée vous est offert à l'entrée pour économiser quelques minutes :)
Mais dépechez-vous, cette expo ne durera que jsuqu'au 27 Juin...

Plutonia Gallery

I have seen very few galleries with such tasteful lighting. The pictures there are perfectly lit by glowing neons, for a very nice effect, enhancing the already beautiful exposed pieces.

J'ai vu peu de galeries avec un éclairage aussi approprié. Les photos y sont parfaitement éclairées par des neons lumineux du plus bel effet pour les relever.

Tales in Shadow and light

As expected, I spent a rather enjoyable moment while visiting this exhibition. Simone Alva's pictures match very well with Cienega Soon's, exposed on the top floor.

Comme je m'y attendais, j'ai passé un bon moment en visitant cette expo. Les photos de Simone Alva vont vraiment bien avec celles de Cienega Soon, exposées sur l'étage du haut.

Strawberry's choice of the week! *********************************************

I present to you a RL manipulated photography exhibition as our selection of the week: The Nights with the Spider by Esco Axelrad.

A very personal set of manipulated pictures with a strong feeling of creepiness... There you'll be able to see artful mergers of human and insectoid/arachnoid anatomia. As a long-time admirer of the arachnoid species this exhibition appealed to me at the first glance, and after spending a while admiring these pictures, I was convinced I HAD to tell you lot!
My only regret is to have missed the opening, which was a couple days ago.

Warning, again! Spiders! And other fun creatures.


Cette semaine notre choix se porte sur une expo de photographie RL retouchée: The Nights with the Spider de Esco Axelrad.

Une collection très personnelle de photographies retouchées avec une forte atmosphère d'étrangeté... Vous pourrez y voir des fusions artistiques de corps humains et insectes/arachnoïdes. En tant que grand fan de la gent arachnoïdienne, cette expo m'a de suite attirée et après y avoir passé un certain temps à regarder ces oeuvres, j'étais convaincu de mon DEVOIR de vous en faire part!
Mon seul regret est d'avoir manqué l'ouverte qui a eu lieu il y a quelques jours.

Plutonia Gallery

I have no idea what's going to happen there, but the gallery won't be the only thing they launch on that day! That's right, it will also be the launch of the Plutonia sim, which looks like a very promising build. Me? In Florence?

When I woke up yesterday, there was a mail waiting for me. Like many others artists from Second Life, I've been choose to exhibit some of my images (27) in a real life exhibition, in Florence (IT). Woohoo! I was already really excited! It's just too cool!

But when I came back from work today, there was something much more exciting waiting for me...

My sister bought me a ticket plane. I'M GOING IN ITALY FOR 2WEEKS IN NEXT OCTOBER!!!!!

Quand je me suis levé hier matin, un mail m'attendait pour me donner les détails sur l'exposition RL d'images digitales réalisées dans le monde de Second Life. 27 de mes images ont été choisies pour être exposées à Florence, en Italie. J'étais vraiment excitée!!

Ce soir, en revenant de travailler, j'avais une autre surprise vachement plus excitante...

Ma soeur m'a acheté un billet d'avion... JE VAIS EN ITALIE POUR 2 SEMAINES EN OCTOBRE PROCHAIN!!!!

Each week on top of keeping you updated about ongoing and opening exhibitions, we will present to you an exposition or gallery of our choice that might not fall under the SL photography category.This week, we present to you the "Chess" SL photo exhibition of Introducing Ruska at the Angeln i rummet photo gallery.

An almost monochrome collection of tasteful shots inspired by a poem of the same name by Jorge Luis Borges. An interpretation of the power struggles in human societies translated in pictures of dominance and submission play. Who is truly in power? I was lucky to find this classy exhibition. Expect a review soon!

Twilight and me, a love story... part 1

Since the first Flickrmail Belmakor Pintens sent me about the Twilight project, it was love. Not between Bel and me, tsss...

He asked me my opinion about the Twilight magazine. I thought it was a very good idea to get a magazine about the digital art. The Flickr commuity is huge now. They have 9836458765 magazines about fashion, why not one about art?

Later, he sent me another Flickrmail to tell me I've been choose as a featured artist in the first issue. I was really touched and fraking flattered. It was my first interview, I was nervous... I think (I hope) I did well!

Il y a bien longtemps lorsque j'étais encore une ado, je me suis assise sur une digue et j'ai soudainement pris conscience que ce qui m'importait le plus, ce qui m'inspirait le plus était la beauté qui m'entourait. Il était alors inévitable que je développe une passion pour l'art et la photographie. Alors, lorsqu'un magazine sur les artistes de SL rédigé par des artistes de SL, m'a récemment approchée pour en faire partie, je me suis sentie honorée et excitée à l'idée.

En cette époque où des âmes créatives peuvent se rassembler pour partager et s'encourager, j'ai aussi bien trouvé inpiration que ravissement dans la communauté de Flickr. Quoi de plus approprié pour ma première opportunité d'interviewer une des fantastiques artistes impliquées dans Flickr que de commencer par Gabrielle Sinatra. Les élégantes images de Gab ont saisi mon attention dès les débuts de mon obsession avec Flickr. Cette occasion de parler avec elle a révélé une artiste aussi captivante que les images qu'elle crée.

Milla Alexandre: Dis-moi, qu'est ce qui t'inspire et te motive à faire de la photographie dans SL?

Gabrielle Sinatra: J'ai trois principales sources d'inspiration: mes émotions, les personnes et l'art. Exprimer mes émotions est la principale raison pour laquelle je fais des photos. C'est pour la même raison que je joue de la musique, que je chante, que je peins, que j'écris. Je suis quelqu'un de très bavard, mais lorsqu'il s'agit d'émotions c'est beaucoup plus facile de passer par un medium différent que la parole. Lorsque j'ai quelque chose à dire, je canalise toute mon énergie en créativité et ensuite je me sens beaucoup mieux!

Les gens sont une bonne source d'inspiration, c'est indéniable. J'ai plus de 400 noms sur ma liste de contacts et chaque jour, je regarde leurs nouvelles photos. Chacun d'entre eux m'a inspirée un jour ou un autre. Et bien sûr, mes modèles m'inspirent. J'ai beaucoup de demandes pour des photos de modes, donc l'inspiration me vient quand je vois les modèles, les vêtements, le style. Et plus que tout, ce qui me motive c'est de faire sourire lorsque je fais des portraits. Quand je sais que les gens sont contents de voir à quel point leur avatar rend bien sur une photo que j'ai faite, je suis heureuse! J'adore l'art. J'y suis très sensible. Peintures, photos, musique, sculptures. Chaque jour je jette un coup d'oeil sur le site de DeviantArt. J'ai aussi découvert de très talentueux photographes RL sur Flickr. Je ne suis pas une graphiste ou une photographe professionnelle. Je ne fais que m'amuser, alors il faut que je sois inspirée par quelque chose, par quelqu'un.

Milla Alexandre: Comment procèdes-tu pour prendre des photos dans SL?

Gabrielle Sinatra: Ça dépend pour quoi et pour qui je fais des photos. Je ne suis pas quelqu'un de très bien organisé. Récemment j'ai demandé à un ami proche de m'aider pour le design des prises de vue. Il faut que je trouve quelqu'un pour m'aider à m'organiser! Ma vie de photographe est un bazar...

Milla Alexandre: Ça me rappelle quelqu'un ça! LOL

Gabrielle Sinatra: Donc... je ne procède jamais de la même façon. Lorsque je fais des photos spécialement pour quelqu'un, je lui demande ce qu'il, elle veut. J'ajoute un peu de Gab's touch et voilà. Lorsque je fais des photos pour moi, pour exprimer mes sentiments, je peux réfléchir à la façon dont j'ai envie de le faire pendant des semaines... ou je le fais juste spontanément au moment où çà me traverse l'esprit. Quand je fais des photos pour mes amis, j'essaye d'exprimer qui ils sont. En studio ou en extérieur, ce n'est pas important pour moi.

Milla Alexandre: Quelle est ton expérience en photographie hors de SL?

Gabrielle Sinatra: Je n'ai aucune expérience! Il y a huit mois, je ne savais même pas qu'il y avait Photoshop sur mon ordinateur. Quand je prenais des photos RL, je ne faisais que les mettre sur mon ordinateur.Aucun post traitement. J'étais juste sensible et je regardais (et je regarde toujours) les photos d'autres personnes avec beaucoup d'admiration. J'espère commencer à faire de la photographie RL plus sérieusement cet été.

Milla Alexandre: C'est merveilleux. Je pense que tu devrais! Que penses-tu de l'art dans SL?

Gabrielle Sinatra: C'est une discussion sans fin. Je ne suis pas une puriste au niveau de l'art. Si quelqu'un exprime un feeling par un medium, peu importe lequel, je pense que c'est de l'art. SL offre de fantastiques possibilités de créativité. Je me soucie peu des moyens que les gens utilisent dans l'expression de ce que je considère comme de l'art.

Milla Alexandre: C'est certainement une position très ouverte. Que penses-tu de la communauté de Flickr?

Gabrielle Sinatra: Flickr ne sert pas qu'à montrer des photos de SL! C'est un super endroit pour partager ses émotions, ses opinions, son art, ses souvenirs. Je suis une accroc à Flickr et je l'assume! Faire de la photo dans SL est une expérience très personnelle. Mais c'est une communauté. Malheureusement, certaines personnes utilisent ce medium pour en blesser d'autres et c'est un énorme nid à drama. Mais bon, d'un point de vue de voyeur, c'est un bon moyen de voir ce qui se passe dans la vie des autres. Et je suis très heureuse quand je vois des photos exprimant quelque chose de positif dans la vie de quelqu'un. Tout comme je peux être très triste pour quelqu'un. Ou effrayée. Ou inquiète. Comme je te l'ai déjà dit, je suis quelqu'un de très sensible.

Milla Alexandre: Comment as-tu intégré Flickr?

Gabrielle Sinatra: J'ai commencé à manipuler des photos pour le blog de ma soeur RL. Lorsqu'elle a arrêté d'écrire, j'ai voulu continuer à faire des photos dans SL. J'étais déjà accroc et les retours sur ce que je faisais étaient bons. J'avais déjà vu quelques photos sur Flickr alors je m'y suis inscrite. J'étais complètement perdue je dois avouer!

Milla Alexandre: LOL Que conseillerais-tu à d'autres artistes du haut de tes propres expériences?

Gabrielle Sinatra: Je ne suis pas une "artiste" professionnelle, je ne fais que m'amuser. Je dirais qu'il faut juste être soi-même dans ses photos. Essayer d'avoir quelque chose à dire, pas seulement d'excellentes techniques de post traîtement. La technique est une chose... mais j'ai vu des snapshots sans traitement qui étaient absolument fantastiques.

Milla Alexandre: Je suis d'accord. L'image par elle-même, peu importe le traitement, doit avoir un message et une atmosphère. As-tu une oeuvre à toi que tu préfères en particulier?

Gabrielle Sinatra: Si difficile à dire! Juste une? Wow.. je crois que la dernière que je fais est presque toujours ma préférée. Je suis une fille très "instant présent". Je ne vis ni dans le passé, ni dans l'avenir. Donc quand je fais une photo, pour moi, c'est ma meilleure pièce, à ce moment là. Mais si je devais vraiment en choisir une seule, ce serait F*ck you...

Techniquement, je pense que c'est une bonne photo, mais au delà de ça, elle a vraiment un truc qui montre que j'étais très énervée. C'est une photo très experessive...

Gabrielle est une personne charmante. Son attitude humble et sa franche expressivité font un mélange rafraîchissant dans le monde des artistes. Elle est un vrai esprit créatif bourgeonnant et sa technique de "l'instant présent" ainsi que sa façon d'embrasser ce qu'elle aime sans réserve pourraient être un réel encouragement pour nous tous. Ce sont des gens comme Gab, qui ont l'air d'apparaître de nulle part, qui démontrent au monde que le vrai talent artistique n'est pas toujours quelque chose qui s'apprend. Parfois, c'est juste au fond de nous et tout ce qu'il y a à faire c'est de le trouver.

Aujourd'hui, l'entreprise RL Carnal Lingerie, a annoncé sa première campagne sur SL. Gabriel LeShelle, le fondateur et chef de Carnal Lingerie sur SL et RL a demandé à Zhao, Alienbear designs, Timeless Modeling Agency, et Gabrielle Sinatra de travailler exclusivement avec lui sur ce projet.

Pour ce projet, on a désigné Zhao comme fournisseur exclusif de chaussures, Alienbear designs comme créateur officiel de bijoux, Timeless comme agence de mannequins qui fournira les modèles, et Gabrielle Sinatra pour ses services de photographie.

Tous les mois, Carnal nommera une "Ange Carnal du mois". Les chaussures et les bijoux (vendus séparément) seront assortis à la lingerie portée. Carnal, Zhao et Alienbear designs mettront en vente, dans leur boutique respective, l'ensemble et ainsi, les clients pourront les acheter ensemble ou séparément.

Carnal, sur leur RL page web, fournira aussi les liens vers ces magasins et les liens vers l'agence Timeless et le studio Strawberry Fields Photos de Gabrielle Sinatra. Vous pouvez aussi trouver une biographie des modèles, aux côtés des modèles RL de Carnal.

Carnal Lingerie - May Angel

I met Gabriel LeShelle, owner and designer of Carnal Lingerie on Second Life via Moonaco Portal, owner of LE.LOOK! group. I don't remember how. All I remember is, Moonaco asked me to do a picture of her, wearing Carnal Lingerie, in a boudoir style setup. So I took few...






What a surprise when Moon TPed me to the store and I saw those pictures in there! Very flattering...

Then, I became the officiel photographer of Carnal Lingerie, on Second Life.

Carnal entered Second Life as a means of gathering media attention and to give our Angels something unusual and different to other online stores.At first it was never intended to become a profitable addition to Carnal world and we never anticipated the response to our in-world lingerie. The demand for it has forced us to upgrade stores not once but four times!! As with our online boutique you see here we decided from day one that if we could not do the lingerie justice and create something worth buying we would not go through the pain and frustration of linking Real Life to Second Life......The feeding frenzy we have witnessed tells us it was worth every drop of our blood, sweat and tears to bring Carnal Lingerie to Second Life and we are so pleased with the results.

LE.LOOK! ~ Denim ~

For 2 months now, I'm the non-official but official photograph for LE.LOOK! group. Each week, members of the group (1071 members) get a F&S notecard with a group picture and individual pictures for each part of the group, with a description of what they wear. There's a new theme for each week.

I don't Flickr those pictures because my flickr isn't an ad for my clients. But since this blog is a business blog for my photos studio, I will post them here! This is one of the reason I wanted to blog.

So here we go for the first picture I did for LE.LOOK!... The first ones were "Denim". The setup design was created by Neko Felisimo.

Depuis 2 mois maintenant, je suis la photographe officielle mais non officielle du groupe LE.LOOK! Chaque semaine, les 1071 membres reçoivent une notecard avec une photo de groupe et une photo individuelle de chaque personne du groupe + une description de ce que tout le monde porte comme vêtements. Il y a un thème pour chaque semaine.

Je ne poste pas ces photos sur Flickr parce mon flickr n'est pas un espace publicitaire pour mes clients. Par contre, comme ce blog est un blog business, je me sens parfaitement à l'aise de les poster ici. C'est une des raisons pourquoi je voulais un blog.

Donc ci-haut, vous avez les images de la première semaine qui avait pour thème "denim". Le setup a été réalisé par Neko Felisimo.
